How to use...
Screen Recording Video: Finding Referrals For a Patient - Open / Closed / Both
Click on the video to start it.
Please note: The video shows dummy patient data from a training system.
Pause Video:
When the video is playing, if you click anywhere on it, it will pause playing. Click again and it will carry on playing.
This is useful if you need time to read what is on the screen
The system is designed to work like Youtube, as a lot of people are familiar with that
Contents:
1. Find Patient
2. Find open referrals for patient. 0min41sec
3. Find closed / cancelled referrals. 1min36sec
4. See open / closed together for validating: tri-state selects. 2min23sec
The Video Contents List on the starting screen
If the video has several sections, the contents may show the video-time at which a particular section starts
At present, you cannot jump to that section from the starting screen, but we are hoping to add this function
For now, you can click in the video slider bar to make the player jump to the required time
S.O.P. Notes
Finding Referrals for a Patient - Notes
With each video, you can have a linked popup page or pages of notes which can appear like this one
You could use this to include:
Sections of your SOP's - Standard Operating Procedures,
Standard Pathway Diagrams
Business Rules - e.g. when to close / reject Referrals
Customisation
Customisation:
Some iPM training can be generic, while other iPM usage will be specifically tailored for a particular service so the screen recordings may need to be customised for a particular service
This is an example of a 'Video Learning Object' for training on Isoft's iPM PAS
A Learning 'Object' is e-learning jargon for the smallest deliverable chunks of training, like this clip, which demonstrates one PAS task
A clip like this would normally be part of an online PAS Help / Training system. This can give someone a whole range of bitesize chunks of training, if they need to remind themselves how to do a particular task
Video clips like this can then be combined in different ways, with different menu front end, to give different types of training
Jargon
Jargon:
PAS = Patient Administration System
iPM = Isoft Patient Records Manager - Sometimes called Lorenzo, although Lorenzo is supposed to be the new Service Oriented Architecture product SOAR, which is different
iPM LE2.2 was the upgrade with 18 weeks functionality
Tags: isoft ipm pas le2.2 e-learning online on-demand training 18 weeks RTT NHS
Benefits
This is a Computer Screen Recording showing how to find patient referrals using iPM LE2.2
A screen recording like this can show a trainee how to do a PAS task, much better than having to find the right part of the PAS manual and reading through 10 pages of text and screenshots.
It is like having someone sitting next to you, showing you how to do it
This is a support tool for the PAS Training Team, not a replacement. One to One training, with a proper PAS Trainer is obviously the best, but there are never enough trainers or training time, so online, on-demand training like this is useful:
When the Trust has many provider locations
It lets people revisit the training - people often forget particular routines
You can roll out training for a small change in procedure or upgrade, to hundreds of people like this, without needing a classroom session
